Take a Walk on The Wild Side!

Hi Everyone,

This week at Stampotique is NEON COLOURS.

I started out with painting a tag in black Gesso.

Then I used Versamark and 3 different stencils- sunburst - numbers - dots, making a background - overlapping each stencil.

I then used the following WOW embossing powders: Fluorescent yellow, Fluorescent magenta, Fluorescent blue, Fluorescent green, Fluorescent tickle pink, Fluorescent orange, Fluorescent pink, fucia fusion and mandarin and covered the Versamark with a bit of each colour.  I then heat set this background.  Over the top of this I stamped out a few times,  the Stampotique dandelion duo and used Versamark and Ebony embossing powder, heat setting them.  I got a fine marker pen and also put black dots around some of the embossed dots.

I then stamped 'SHEER' out onto white cardstock with Versamark and Ebony embossing powder and heat set this image.  I then got some neon backing paper and stamped out 'SHEER again on different parts of the paper to get different colours, and then cut out the T. Shirt, skirt, tights and shoes from these and paper pieced onto the original stamped image.  Her hair and skin I coloured with Pro Markers and drew some glasses and cut these out.

The saying 'Hey babe, take a walk on the wild side'  is from a song by Lou Reed and the idea came from a picture I saw on the internet with it attached.I typed this out and printed it off onto patterned background card.

Go wild this week with your colours....
